The Hamilton Mill Library is planned to be a “centerpiece” of the Hamilton Mill Community. This facility will provide a gathering place for visitors, and the site design accomplishes clear pedestrian flow from the adjacent park and surrounding areas. The library interior combines quiet study spaces with comfortable areas to meet, and the plan allows public spaces to be easily monitored by staff.

A goal of LEED® Silver certificationhas been set for the facility, as well as incorporation of an “Art in Architecture” feature. The design process for this existing community project was a successful collaboration between the County, the Public Library, and the Design Team.
