In early 2004, Precision Planning began assisting the Oconee County Sheriff’s Department and Emergency Services Department in the evaluation of the existing jail and sheriff’s offices and planning for a new Jail and E911/Emergency Operations Center.
Now in the final stage of Construction Documents, the new jail design includes a new 128-bed jail housing pod expandable to 139-beds, complete jail support services, and sheriff’s administration. The E911/EOC building incorporates up to 10 call stations, offices for directors and assistant directors of each division, a full kitchen and locker areas, and a computer center.
The project is expected to be completed in the spring of 2007. |
