Precision Planning, Inc. is pleased to announce the opening of the Oconee County Jail and Sheriff’s Office/E911/EOC facility in March 2007. The new 36,343 SF Jail and 5,978 SF E911/EOC were completed in phases on the site of the old jail building, so that the Sheriff’s operations were continuous throughout construction.
The jail includes 140 inmate beds, with a state of the art housing control tower which minimizes staffing while providing optimum lines of sight and security for detention officers. The design includes complete jail support services and space for Sheriff’s administration with future expansion built in. The E911/EOC building, within the same secure perimeter as the jail, incorporates up to 10 call stations, an emergency operations center for 30 persons when activated, a full kitchen, locker rooms and a secure computer center. |
